Mechanical & Automation Engineer
ProGnosis Biotech S.A. is seeking a Mechanical & Automation Engineer to provide technical support for its production equipment.
the role
This is a hands-on technical role focused on the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of automated and semi-automated production machinery, ensuring safe and uninterrupted production.
Responsibilities
- Operate and technically support production machinery.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and automation-related faults.
- Adjust and inspect machinery, electrical panels, and basic automation systems.
- Record breakdowns, maintenance activities, and technical interventions.
- Cooperate with the Production team to minimize equipment downtime.
REQUIREMENTS
- Degree or technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Professional experience in the maintenance and repair of production or industrial machinery.
- Hands-on experience in troubleshooting and resolving technical faults.
- Knowledge of PLC systems, preferably Siemens.
- Ability to read electrical and technical drawings.
- Good command of English for understanding technical manuals.
- Responsibility, organization, and a practical problem-solving mindset.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with industrial automation, PLC programming, HMI, drives, or equipment commissioning will be considered a strong advantage.
