ProGnosis Biotech participated as an exhibitor and Silver Sponsor at the TRACES 2025 Symposium held from June 3-6 in Ghent, Belgium. The symposium is a merger of two esteemed conferences: The International Symposium on Hormone and Veterinary Drug Residue Analysis (VDRA) and EuroResidue. Through this collaboration, the symposium presented a unified platform that holistically examines residues of pharmacologically active substances across food, feed and the environment.
On site, ProGnosis Biotech showcased diagnostic solutions tailored to real-world needs. The main focus was on rapid on-site antibiotic detection in milk, ELISA kits for antibiotic detection in seafood and meat and ATP hygiene monitoring for surface and water testing. Demonstrations of the Android mobile application emphasized fast, portable diagnostics and seamless result sharing, supporting efficiency, documentation and decision-making across laboratory and production environments.
Main attraction at the stand was the Quantum BT-SQ test for antibiotic residue detection in milk, that has been validated by ILVO. ProGnosis Biotech also presented an important scientific poster on it, with the title of “Enhacing Food Safety Through Rapid Detection: Validation Of The Quantum BT-SQ Test For Multi-Class Antibiotic Residues.”
The participation to TRACES underscored once more the commitment to practical innovation and collaboration. It was the ideal space to engaged with researchers, regulators and industry professionals, in order to exchange expertise in food safety management. Sponsoring events such as this is a privillage and contributes to helping laboratories and producers enhance compliance, transparency and quality assurance throughout the food supply chain.
