ProGnosis Biotech S.A., a fast-growing and innovative biotechnology company, is seeking a Product Specialist to join its team in Thessaloniki. The role combines scientific expertise, training, and close collaboration with Sales, Marketing, QA, and R&D teams, playing a key role in supporting and expanding the company’s product portfolio.
the role
As a Product Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise, product training, and application support for the company’s product range. You will act as a key liaison between the Sales team, and internal departments, ensuring optimal product performance and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
• Train and coach internal Sales teams on product portfolio, applications, value propositions, and objection handling
• Deliver hands-on training on ELISA and Lateral Flow methods to customers and distributors, including on-site demonstrations and method setup
• Provide advanced technical and application support, including troubleshooting and complaint investigation, in coordination with QA and R&D
• Create, maintain, and update technical documentation such as manuals, SOPs, quick guides, and training materials
• Monitor competitor products and maintain comparative documentation to support Sales and Marketing activities
• Travel in Greece and internationally to support experiments, method verification, and troubleshooting (approximately 20% of working time)
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree (BSc or higher) in Biochemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Food Science, Biomedical Sciences, or a related field
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in applications, technical support, field applications, or technical training (experience in biotech/diagnostics is highly valued)
- Hands-on experience with ELISA and/or Lateral Flow techniques is a strong plus
- Excellent command of the English language,Spanish, are a plus)
- Advanced computer skills (MS Office, especially PowerPoint) and ability to create clear technical and training documentation
- Valid driving license and willingness to travel internationally
